Step-by-step procedure

Section actions
  1. 1Before signing, perform the official test of eligibility. Conditions depend on age, employment, income, mobility, lease and housing.
  2. 2Create the personal space, upload the parts and wait for the decision. After acceptance, download the visa: it indicates its duration and the maximum guaranteed rent.
  3. 3Return the valid visa to the lessor as soon as the application is made. The visa is not the lease and does not only activate the guarantee.
  4. 4Prior to signing, the owner must register and obtain the Visale guarantee contract. Follow the order: visa → guarantee agreement → lease.
  5. 5Once activated, Visale replaces another guarantor within the limits of the scheme and protects the lessor free of charge, especially for rents during the first three years of the lease.
  6. 6In the event of payment, Action Logement compensates the lessor according to the guarantee and then recovers the debt from the lessee. A custom schedule can be agreed in the tenant space.
  7. 7If the visa has expired, if the rent exceeds its ceiling or if the accommodation is not eligible, ask for a new visa or provide another guarantee before signing.

Common mistakes

Section actions
  • Sign the lease before the lessor has obtained the bond contract
  • Believe that the criteria are the same for all tenants and dwellings
  • Do not check the validity of the visa and the rent ceiling included charges
  • Believing that the lessor's compensation erases the lessee's debt
  • Pay an intermediary for a free Visale visa
