Step-by-step procedure
Section actions
- 1Find an approved photographer or photo terminal: list on ANCs (ants.gouv.fr, section "Accredited photographers"). Not just any photographer — you need certification.
- 2Make the photo according to official standards (size, clear background, neutral expression, without tinted glasses, head covering only religious/medical).
- 3Receive a QR code or e-photo number: the photographer delivers a paper or digital code, linked to the photo in the ANTS system. Validity 6 months.
- 4In the request on ANTS/ANEF, enter the e-photo code (or scan the QR) at the photo step. The system automatically retrieves the digital photo — no need to attach a paper photo.
- 5Cost: about 5 to 8 € at a licensed photographer or terminal. The equipped town halls do the photo for free, but the quality varies.
- 6Check the result: the photo must display correctly in the system. A code error is a frequent cause of delay.
- 7If the photo is refused (standard not respected), redo it at the same photographer for free or at another.
