Background
The Festival, organized by the City of Lyon with the Maison des Solidarités Locales et Internationales, focuses on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the UN in 2015 for equitable, inclusive, ecologically safe and economically prosperous development by 2030. A total of 100 associations participate. The House of Solidarity accompanies associations and citizens throughout the year.
Why it's important
It is a free opportunity for the inhabitants of Lyon, including newcomers, to meet local associations, discover their projects and find a suitable form of engagement. The topics covered include the environment, equality, social justice and access to fundamental rights: water, food, health, decent work. Associations can also make themselves known and create links.
