Background
The City of Lyon announced this opening on September 4, 2026. The historic building has been restored with re-use materials and equipment, and the old chandelier of the lobby has been preserved.
Why it's important
For both locals and people who discover Lyon, a walk in the park can now be extended by an exhibition or activity at the Chalet. The conditions vary according to the appointments: not all programming is free.
What Changes
The restaurant offers cuisine based on local and seasonal products, with an approach to fighting food waste. The Chalet also hosts meetings and activities around the living and ecological issues.
Useful details
- The photo exhibition "Living together" by Yann Arthus-Bertrand accompanies the opening: 190 photographs are presented in the park and the Chalet until 8 November.
- The immersive game "Mission forest" invites you to discover forest ecosystems with family or friends.
- Artistic residences run by the Gutenberg House are planned 3 times a year; the works will be exhibited at the end of the journeys.
