Background
Every year, many civil security exercises are organised in the Rhône under the authority of the Prefect. State services, local authorities, operators and carriers intervene in conditions close to real life in order to test their capacity to respond to emergencies (accidents, disasters, disasters). This exercise focuses on a strategic drinking water site in the Lyon metropolis.
Why it's important
It is essential not to confuse the test with a real alert. FR-Alert is the new cellular alert and information system: it warns in real time anyone who holds a mobile phone of their presence in a danger zone and informs them of the behaviours to adopt. Knowing the format of the exercise message avoids panic.
