Background
Created in 2021, the Sport Pass allows young people to benefit from a deduction on their subscription or licence in a sports structure, then offset by the State. For the 2026-2027 season, the system is renewed and strengthened, and a decree of 28 August 2026 (no. 2026-830) specifies the new arrangements.
Why it's important
For low-income families, the reduction of 50 € can significantly reduce the cost of a child's sports registration. In addition, in the first quarter of the 2027, additional support will be provided by the Caf to 6 recipients to 17 years who activated their Sport Pass at the start of the 2026 season, to help finance sports equipment.
What Changes
For 2026-2027, the age group of 6-13 years is reintroduced, the amount of aid increases to 50 € (compared to 70 € in 2025-2026) and a decree of 28 August 2026 specifies the new modalities.
