Background
The directory available on for-persons-agees.gouv.fr already contains essential information on accommodation facilities for dependent elderly people, such as the number of places entitled to social assistance for accommodation (ASH) or equipment for balneotherapy.
Why it's important
The quality of care depends largely on the stability and number of caregivers. These new indicators identify institutions with low turnover and sufficient supervision, which is a guarantee of safety and well-being for residents.
What Changes
Since August 2026, the establishment records include the management rate, absenteeism rate and turnover rate of staff, measured over the previous year.
Useful details
- The new indicators published are the medical, paramedical and socio-educational supervision rate, the absenteeism rate of the staff and the turnover rate of the previous year's staff.
- The directory also mentions the number of single and double rooms, the number of places entitled to social assistance accommodation (ASH) and whether or not there is a night nurse and/or a coordinating doctor.
- Since December 2025, a link to the latest quality assessment report, carried out by independent bodies according to the High Health Authority method, is available on each sheet.
- The comparison allows you to analyze up to 3 establishments according to their status (public, private non-profit or commercial), accommodation prices and services such as sensory stimulation room.
- The equipment listed includes balneotherapy, rooms for physiotherapy or psychomotority, educational workshops and in-house pharmacy.
- By 2027, the scope of the indicators will be expanded to include other structures for the elderly and disabled, and their readability will be improved.
