Who this guide is for

Section actions
  • You if you have injury, pain or rehabilitation
  • You if you want to understand the reimbursement of the kine sessions
  • You if you have been operated and re-education is prescribed

To be prepared in advance

Section actions
  • A doctor's prescription (for reimbursement)
  • Vital card and mutual card
  • State history (operation, trauma)

Step-by-step procedure

Section actions
  1. 1Get a prescription from the attending physician or specialist (without it — session not reimbursed by the CPAM, except for certain cases of direct access).
  2. 2Find a kine sector 1 via the Ameli directory. Session ~25 € sector 1 (rehabilitation care).
  3. 3Make an appointment (Doctolib or live). The session lasts about 30 minutes, usually a series of 10 sessions according to the order.
  4. 4Present yourself with Vitale Card and Mutual Card — paying third party when available. The CPAM reimburses 60 % (70 % with care path), the mutual covers the rest.
  5. 5Direct access: from 2022, direct access to the non-prescription kine for certain acts (perineal re-education, ATMP), but limited refund — check.
  6. 6In ALD/ATMP (labour accident): refund 100 %, without moderator ticket.
  7. 7Follow-up: The doctor may extend the prescription if necessary. The sessions are reimbursed in the annual meter.
  8. 8Sessions in rehabilitation centre or clinic: same conditions, but organization via doctor.

Common mistakes

Section actions
  • To go to the non-prescription kine — session not reimbursed.
  • Choose 2 sector without checking overruns — more expensive.
  • Do not use the Vital Card — pay in advance.
  • Missing sessions — effectiveness of reduced rehabilitation.
  • Do not renew the order due — no refund.
